The sun is not out, but I still feel joyful. Christ has become such a wonderful part of my life. Living with the DeGroff's I am learning each day ways that I can serve the Lord. They are so full of encouragement. Sometimes I learn from just listening.
Another encouragement in my life is my daughter. I love to hear her quote scripture.
She is such a good mother, wife and friend. I love her dearly.
Today is Day 4 on my special diet. I admit I did eat a cookie, but no more!!!
I got on the scales this morning (course my scales never agree with the doctors
scales) BUT, I have lost 5 pounds. To me that is great success!!!!

Day 1 of my journey
Good morning everyone!!! Yesterday was my first day on my special diet. I made it through. Peaches, cottage cheese 1%, 3oz fat free ham, cottage cheese, banana, protein drink which wasn't so bad (Lynn drank a little bit with me) AND sugar free popsicle. I tried to keep busy all day. I almost forgot, WATER, WATER, WATER!
The true blessing for yesterday was that the Lord walked with me all the way.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippiians 4:13

New Journey
This is my first attempt at writing on my blog. It is so exciting!!! As many of you know I am having gastric bypass surgery on Wednesday, November 25 (the day before Thanksgiving)
On Sunday, which is tomorrow, I will be starting a special diet. I am going into this journey with a positive attitute knowing that the Lord is with me all of the way. I will admit I have had butterflies at times. Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Isn't it wonderful that we can turn everything over to God. It is real easy to turn over our burdens to the Lord, but we need to leave it with Him!!!
